Buddha Hoga Tera Baap Director Puri Juggernaut is a tribute to Amitabh Bachchan. He says that in all these years we were angry young man, and yes we did. So do not Bbuddah to build back its image. Well, as we are used to watching the suave, elegant kind of emotions on the screen because of Mr. Bachchan for some time, first in a lil difficult to accept her become a kind of dress and Romeo Road mouthing Taporo jargon, but when you start to get used to it, one begins to appreciate the film.


Buddha Hoga Tera Baap film is fresh and exciting to Puri, which fortunately did not shoot and has a very interesting twist. Viju (Amitabh Bachchan) is a sniper and his words can be drawn straight through the center of the brain, not once but twice without losing an inch. He descends from Paris to Bombay after 20 years to rescue his son ACP Karan (Sonu Sood) of the mafia, while Karan is unaware of his antics.


Specially designed for mega-star, Tera Baap Bbuddah H?ga are well adapted to its name. It Bbuddah Sabki baap. Bachchan is the film on the shoulder and can now also give a player a run for their money. When he actually says in the film that Mumbai has grown up with him and young people are copying his style and moves. Certainly the Baap of Indian film industry.


The film is a parallel story, referring to the love of Kara slope, and Tanya (Sonal Chauhan), Viju the past, which includes his ex-wife, Sita (Hema Malini) and ex-girlfriend Kamini (Raveena Tandon), which collapses to more than gangsters. And then there is a daughter of Kamini Amrita (Charmy), who is confused about what is and what was his relationship with his mother Viju. All these parallel stories need more drama and punk to make the film more interesting.


Raveena Tandon needs special mention, the queen of Bollywood original item is returned and how. She looks beautiful and is a delight to see. We keep the thirst of your order number "Chandigarh di Star 'only to discover he was killed only promotions. Raveena is amazing with his charisma and screen presence of increased delicious.


Hema Malini performs its role. Sonu Sood is good and he plays his role to perfection. The icing on the cake is Prakash Raj, who has probably mastered the art of playing the wicked confused. We loved him in "Wanted" and to love in "Bbuddah." Sonal Chauhan has not had much to do, while South Indian actress Charmy fit the role and lives up to it. Puri Jagannadh direction is crisp and takes the best of his players. The main highlight of the film is its editing and a tighter script. It does not feel drawn and ends at the right time. Vishal-Shekhar's music is fit and could be played well in pubs.


See for Amitabh, it definitely worth spending a penny.

Anushka Sharma being signed by Yash Chopra for his next with Shah Rukh Khan has spelled good news for the actress in more ways than one. Not just has this proved to be a testimony of her acting skills and popularity, what with the 'mogul of romance' trusting her to do the job, she has also made huge leaps in covering over half the distance that YRF's 'ghar ki heroine' Rani Mukerjee has over the years.

"Incidentally, while it took Rani Mukerjee seven years to cover the distance between Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2002) and Dil Bole Hadippa (2009) during which she did nine films with them, it would be Anushka's fifth film with Chopras inside four years when her Shah Rukh starrer would release next Diwali", informs a trade follower.

So while Rani has done Dil Bole Hadippa!, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Ta Ra Rum Pum, Bunty Aur Babli, Veer Zaara, Hum Tum, Saathiya and Mujhse Dosti Karoge with Chopras, Anushka has already featured in their Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Badmaash Company and Band Baaja Baaraat and is currently shooting for Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl. Incidentally, while for Rani it is still a 50-50 record commercially when it comes to aforementioned films, Anushka has been enjoying a 100% success rate.

"Not much should be read about any rivalry per se since there is an entire generation gap between the two actresses. Also, there is no competition expected either since both actresses are playing in different leagues. Still, one can't ignore the fact that Anushka is clearly Chopras' blue eyed girl now. Before her it was only Rani who was so privileged to be working with them film after film", comments a source.

This can be pretty much evidenced from the fact that while A-league actresses like Kareena Kapoor (Tashan, Mujhse Dosti Karoge), Katrina Kaif (New York, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan), Deepika Padukone (Lafangey Parindey, Bachna Ae Haseeno), Preity Zinta (Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Salaam Namaste, Veer Zaara) and Bipasha Basu (Dhoom 2, Bachna Ae Haseeno) have done only 2-3 films each with Chopras, Anushka has clearly gone miles ahead by already working on her fifth with them. And that, when there is no more a contract binding Anushka and Chopras together, especially after her three film deal ended last year with Band Baaja Baaraat).

"I have always stated that there was never a contract binding us", Anushka had said in an earlier conversation after signing Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl, "Chopras are my parents in this industry and when it comes to doing films with them, I won't be counting numbers of looking at a contract. They have been my mentors and I would love to continue working in films with them."

Well, as long as Rani doesn't mind that.

Sonakshi Sinha walks out of Kamal Hassan?s ?Vishwaroopam??

Sonakshi Sinha, the Junior Shotgun, who is in great demand, ever since Dabangg happened, opted out of two South projects with two of the biggest stars of Tamil cinema, Rajnikanth and Kamal Hassan.

Sonakshi was the first choice for K S Ravikumar?s ?Rana? opp Megastar Rajnikanth, but has now been replaced by Deepika Padukone. The latest we hear is that the actress has opted out of Hassan?s bilingual film, in which she was to play his wife, due to her prior commitment to Sanjay Leela Bhansali?s project, Rowdy Rathod.

Sonakshi was super excited about working with the Kamal when she signed ?Vishwaroopam?. But unfortunately, the shooting got postponed. This caused clashes with Sanjay Leela Bhansali?s ?Rowdy Rathore? and so she had to opt out.

A source close to the actress told, ?All her excitement is a thing of the past. She has decided that she is not doing Kamal Hassan?s film. But trust me it wasn?t easy for her to take this decision.

She has lost her first opportunity to work with Kamal Hassan. Hassan had serious creative differences with Selvaraghvan. Then, Hassan decided to direct the project himself. And consequently, there were delays in production. ?

The source added, ?Sonakshi was extremely professional, while explaining her case to Kamal Hassan Productions. There is no animosity between Kamal Hassan and Sonakshi.?

Hassan?s search for a replacement is already on and Deepika seems to be the likely contender. Previously, Deepika had filled in for Sonakshi, who was the first choice for the Rajinikanth starrer, Rana. Reportedly, Rajinikanth was uncomfortable to pair up with his friend Shatrughan Sinha?s daughter.

What lures Bollywood to London?

Bollywood may be going around the world exploring exotic locations, but they still seem to feel incomplete without their favourite location, London!

After the recent flux of films being shot at locations like South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Russia, Bollywood?s gone back to shooting at London.

Actor Shah Rukh Khan has shot a major part of Ra.One in London. Recently a schedule of the film Desi Boyz was completed there with actors Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone and Chitrangda Singh.

Kumar is once again shooting in London for filmmaker Sajid Khan?s Housefull 2 with actors Asin, Riteish Deshmukh and Jacqueline Fernandes.

Actor Saif Ali Khan too is in London to shoot his second home production (tentatively titled Cocktail). Priyadarshan?s next film, Tez has also been shot in London.

It is not just films, but premieres of big Indian films have also been held in London, the last being Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan starrer Raavan.
Says trade analyst Amod Mehra, ?Shooting in London has its advantages. If you have a local sponsor, you get a huge rebate on the entire amount spent while shooting there. It also helps that the UK government is co-operative when it comes to giving permissions. Shooting in countries like Singapore is tough because the rules are stringent.?

Another veteran film producer reasons, ?The maximum Bollywood crazy fans are found in London. It?s like being home. UK is one of the biggest markets for Bollywood films and all producers are aware of that.?

Something that even UK seems to understand because when they launched their global tourism campaign recently, they included Indian origin actor, Dev Patel among the likes of Brit veteran actors Judi Dench and Rupert Everett.

Shah Rukh Khan gets royal treatment from IIFA organisers

There were a lot of stars at the film award function held recently in Toronto, but actor Shah Rukh Khan was given a preferential treatment above everybody else.

While every other actor was lodged in a downtown hotel in Toronto, Khan was put up at the best suite in one of the topmost hotels there.

?He was given the best suite and there was special staff posted for him both for the awards and the hotel. Shah Rukh had also flown in with his own staff and they were all lodged along with him,? says a source.

There was also a special task force formed by the organisers that was supposed to look after Khan exclusively. ?There was no brief for them, except to ?standby and wait for anything that he wants?.

Khanbriefly had some problem with the taps in his bathroom (he later said that he got confused between the hot and cold water taps in the shower) but overall he seemed to have enjoyed the stay,? the source adds.

Though there were some reports that Khan?s knee was bleeding after his performance, a staff member who was also on standby for the actor said that there was nothing as such.

?He was hurt and we had put him on cortisone injections (a kind of steroid to ease the pain) but he was not bleeding because the nature of the injury was internal (in his muscles),? the staff member said.

According to sources, the entire business section of the aircraft was also sealed off when Khan was leaving the venue. ?The entire area was sealed off for him and his staff. When he was coming here, there was only Dharmendra (actor) with him. But he left alone after a brief meeting with Priyanka (actress Priyanka Chopra),? the source adds.

Chopra apparently waited for three hours to speak to Khan personally.

Salman Khan is now the highest paid star in Bollywood?

Salman Khan is on a roll. His last two films Dabangg and Ready are among the all-time blockbusters of Indian film industry and his acting fee has understandably shot up to a level that makes him the highest paid actor in Bollywood.

Buzz is that producer Boney Kapoor has shelled out a whopping Rs 10 crores to sign Salman Khan for the sequel of No Entry. The film is titled No Entry Mein Entry and will be directed by Anees Bazmee, director of ?No Entry? and also of ?Ready?.

The project has been through a lot of teething problems due to differences between Boney Kapoor and Anees Bazmee. The latter apparently leaked the film?s original script to Sajid Nadiadwala who made Thank You out of it. Even Bazmee and Salman reportedly had a tiff while filming Ready in Bangkok.

But now, all the differences seem to have been ironed out. Bazmee is working on a new script. Boney Kapoor understands Salman Khan?s increased market value after the super successes of his last two films and did not object to the star?s higher acting fee. He reportedly paid between eight to ten crore rupees to Salman for doing No Entry Mein Entry.

If true, that makes Salman the highest paid actor in Bollywood.

A confirmation is still awaited from Boney Kapoor.

After Aamir, Its Sameera Ready who is concerned abour Salman?s marriage..

Priyanka Chopra takes a break

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra seems to have finally found time for herself. She has reportedly taken a break from films and has flown off to the US for a two-weeks holiday soon after attending the International Indian Film Festival (IIFA) Awards, Toronto.

It seems Priyanka has been trying from quite a while to take a break. She got into Agneepath soon after 7 Khoon Maaf, and then Barfee and Kunal Kohli's film Mausam with Shahid Kapoor. Apart from being busy with films, she has been dogged by her alleged 'on off on off' relationship with Shahid. So, she apparently decided to get away from the spotlight and take the much-needed rest.

Sources said that Priyanka is going to spend her holiday with friends and family in the US. She deserves a break!

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has denied signing a film based on Chetan Bhagat's book '2 States: The Story of My Marriage', which is said to feature superstar Shah Rukh Khan.


'I am not in discussion with anyone regarding '2 States'. There is a great team involved, including Shah Rukh Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala and Vishal Bharadwaj and I definitely look forward to working with them at some point in the future,' Priyanka told IANS.

'However at this time, I am just committed to completing my existing projects on hand, which include Kunal Kohli's next 'Barfee', and 'Krrish 2',' added the 28-year-old.

'2 States: The Story of My Marriage' is the third Chetan Bhagat novel to inspire a movie, after 'Hello', based on his book 'One Night @ The Call Centre' and the superhit '3 Idiots', inspired by his bestseller 'Five Point Someone'.

If Priyanka had taken up '2 States', it would have been her third movie based on a novel. The first was Ashutosh Gowariker's 'What's Your Rashee?', based on Madhu Rye's 'Kimball Ravenswood', followed by '7 Khoon Maaf', inspired by Ruskin Bond's short story 'Susanna's Seven Husbands'.

I am no adventure freak: Katrina Kaif

Actress Katrina Kaif is nursing a foot injury after accidentally hurting herself on the sets of a film. However, that isn?t why the actress?s looking rather relaxed, with her feet propped up on a chair nearby as she enjoys watching the rain outside.

?It?s so much fun watching the rains from here instead of being caught in the traffic in a downpour outside trying to reach the sets on time,? she remarks. But we figure, that the actor hasn?t let the injury slow her down, instead, she?s taking it easy simply because she?s just wrapped up two of her films and has some time before she plunges into the next two. ?Yes, luckily I got to put my feet up and enjoy for some time at least!? she smiles.

But while she relaxes, the buzz around her doing a Yash Chopra film with actor Salman Khan?s frenemy actor Shah Rukh Khan has been gaining momentum with tongues wagging about how it will affect her relationship with Salman.

?People try to look too hard searching for the fine print, but to be honest there are no issues about me doing a film with Shah Rukh or Salman or Imran (Khan) or Ranbir (Kapoor) or Hrithik (Roshan),? she says.

?I prefer leaving the personal equations out of the professional ones.? That also explains why she isn?t giving into the hue and cry being made about her intimate scenes with Hrithik in their forthcoming film. ?What?s there to talk about that? It was a part of the scene, just like any other.?

Incidentally the film also sees her show off her adventurous streak. But Kaif points out that she?s hardly the sorts in real life.

?I?m not too much of an adventure sports freak actually. I did learn scuba diving for a couple of scenes, but can?t say I?d like to take it up again,? she laughs. What she?s also not keen on taking up for the moment is film production. ?I?m not turning producer any time soon. Not even for Isabella (sister) who?s anyway still busy studying,? she clarifies.

?I don?t believe in saying ?never? but nothing?s happening on that front for now,? she says setting the record straight.

Abhay bonds with Hrithik, Farhan

While Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara gave Abhay Deol the opportunity to work hands-on in a mainstream commercial film, unlike most of his previous movies, the actor also got to make good friends with his co-stars Farhan Akhtar and Hrithik Roshan. "There was a lot of buddy bonding on the sets of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara because Hrithik, me and Farhan were there from day one, we had formed our own little group. We used to hang out a lot together. It was fun," Abhay told reporters.

The promos of the film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara shows the chemistry shared by actor Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol and Farhan Akhtar, but very less is known about their hang out session off-screen during the shoots of the film.

Actor Abhay Deol says that apart Zindagi Na Milegi dobara shoots, he has made good friends with his co-stars Farhan Akhtar and Hrithik Roshan. "There was a lot of buddy bonding on the sets of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara because Hrithik, me and Farhan were there from day one, we had formed our own little group. We used to hang out a lot together. It was fun," Abhay told IANS.

The actor informed that before Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, he did know Hrithik a little bit, but he was not at all friends with Farhan. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is been directed by Zoya Akhtar and co-produced by Farhan Akhtar and Riteish Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment. The film is a story of three friends and also stars Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin. It is slated for a July 15 release.

Aamir Khan says he can't compete with Amitabh Bachchan

Two Bollywood superstars Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan are releasing their much-anticipated movies Delhi Belly and Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap tomorrow, July 1. Trade analysts think that there would be a tough competition between these two star at the Box Office. But Aamir says that he is not capable enough to compete with Big B.

Aamir Khan says that he is a big fan of Amitabh andhe does not think he will be able to compete with him. "I think every film has its share of space in the audience. I am a huge fan of Amitabh Bachchan and I don't think I am even on the same platform as him. I don't sense any competition with him. In fact, I feel I am not capable enough to compete with him," Aamir told PTI.

Interestingly, Amitabh Bachchan has recently shared that same opinion about Aamir. He said, ?Aamir and his production company are much bigger than me and my AB Corp in commercial standing." Responding to his comment, Aamir says that it is Amitabh's generous nature. He wishes, ?Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap to do ten times better than Delhi Belly."

However, Delhi Belly, which has been produced by Aamir Khan Productions, is an adult comedy and it stars nephew Imran Khan, Vir Das, Kunal Roy Kapur, Poorna Jagannathan and Shenaz Treasuryvala. Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap is produced by AB Corp and it features Amitabh, Prakash Raj, Hema Malini, Raveena Tandon, Charmy Kaur, Minissha Lamba and Sonal Chauhan in the lead roles.

New Zealand PM meets Abhishek Bachchan

Lights, camera and a knuckle-whitening action sequence packed with Bollywood's signature dramatic thrills, unfolded at Filmcity for Abbas-Mustan's "Players" this morning, as part of New Zealand Prime Minister Rt Hon. John Key's visit to the sets of the film.

Performed by lead star Abhishek Bachchan, the stunt was a sneak peek into the film?s many riveting street chases that were filmed over a month-long busy schedule in New Zealand earlier this year.

Indian movie-goers have succumbed to the power of New Zealand?s scenic seduction several times in the past and it is no wonder that director, duo Abbas-Mustan and Viacom18 Motion Pictures chose the contrasting urban terrain of New Zealand?s Wellington and Auckland for the legendary car chases in the Official remake of the Hollywood Classic, ?The Italian Job? for their film Players.

Abhishek Bachchan talks about what kind of father he will make?

Come December 2011, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan are expecting their first child. The to-be-dad is super excited about being a father. He talks about what kind of father he will make, in an interview with a popular tabloid.

With the new baby on the way, you won?t be the baby of the house?
(laughs) Yes, I never thought of that. No, I won?t be but it?s wonderful. It?s very hard to describe how I?m feeling?. I mean it?s nice, everybody is smiling, everybody is just very happy at home. The house is filled with flowers and people are calling and congratulating. It just feels wonderful. It still literally hasn?t sunk in that there?s going to be a child? you know, an offspring, I haven?t gone into that father zone yet.

Can you picture yourself as a dad? Or is that daunting?
I love to spend time with my nephew and niece. I love kids. I think I am pretty good with them. I think when you know you are going to have a child, there?s a lot more stuff to think about like how to bring up the child, what principles and morals you will teach him or her? You start thinking of all that kind of stuff? I still haven?t started that. But I think I will, as and when as the time approaches. Right now, I am just enjoying the moment but I think pretty soon like every man, I will have to sit down and say, ?ok this is going to be your child, you have to take care, provide?.?

Now you will get lots of tips from everyone around you?
Yes they?ve already started. But thankfully, I have a bit of experience with children because of my nephew and niece so, but tips are always welcome.

Are you going to reading books on preparing and taking care of the child?
Yeah, I?d love to do that. I?ve already started looking for them. Although there are so many ?experts? around. My parents, Aishwarya?s parents, my sister and brother-in-law and my friends, most of who are all parents. But even so, when you hear your wife is going to have a baby, you just go into a different level of panic. You feel like you need to know more. Just hearing other people say things isn?t always just enough. So yes, I am going to do all of that?.. I am looking forward to it. I think it?s a fun period.

Are you going to be a hyper father in the delivery room, like you did in some film..
Yes, Salaam Namaste. But, no I?ll be pretty normal. That way, I am pretty chilled out.

Better husband or better father, what do you think?
I?ll have to be both. I?ll try and be good at both. But I am not worried?I think I?ll be a good dad. Because I love kids and they generally take to me. I am feeling bad for Aishwarya because I think am going to be more than a handful to handle. She is going to have to spend more time taking care of me than taking care of the baby.

Why do you say that?
I don?t know I am just?. You know it?s weird, when you finally share something with the world, it suddenly hits you that, ?Okay, this is happening now.? Since we?ve made it official, I?ve been only bouncing off the walls.

Your father shared the news on Twitter. Why didn?t this (news) come from you?
There?s a very good reason for that. I wanted my father to announce it because he?s the head of the family and I remember him telling me that when my mother was going to have my sister Shweta, he told his father. And dadaji, with great pride, as the head of the family wrote letters saying ?the next generation of my family is coming.? I wanted to give my father that and he was very excited to do it. He?s the one who called the rest of the family and announced it. I wanted that moment to be his as well.

There have been congratulatory calls and a lot of positivity but there?s also been some negativity, how do you deal with that?
There hasn?t actually? I haven?t faced much of it. But that?s life. Right now, it?s just such a happy time for the entire family, that I am not even going to bother with it. At a time like this, if there are people who are only going to think negative thoughts, then they don?t deserve any attention

Aishwarya will be a beautiful mom: Sushmita Sen

Aishwarya Rai will be a beautiful mother, says Sushmita Sen, a mother of two.

"Aishwarya has always been known to be a beautiful woman. She has brought great laurels to our country. Both of us are international winners. She is a beautiful woman who is going to be a mother, and that will increase her beauty manifold," Sushmita told reporters in Mumbai.

"Whether you become a mother biologically or through heart, you feel beautiful entering that phase of your life. She will be a very beautiful mother," she said.

"I am very happy for her, Abhishek and the entire family. God bless the baby," Sushmita said.

The actress was at an event to announce the collaboration of her pageant I AM She with Wadhawan Lifestyle.

She reacted strongly to reports that some producers planned to add a no-pregnancy clause in their film contracts.

"I would show the producer the door if he gets a clause like that," she said.

"If you do not believe that I am a professional, don't sign me, and if you believe that I'm a professional, don't question my professional integrity and tell me about my personal life.

"If anyone would tell me that this a time span when you cannot get pregnant, I wouldn't tolerate that," she added.

Aishwarya Rai will not retire post delivery?

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan turning into mom, sent excitement and jubilation all over. The good news was also accepted with mixed reactions. While some were happy that the actress will finally settle down, few were doubtful about her return to the screens. Well, here?s what grapevines have it of late?.
