Preity's renewed for season 2!

Preity Zinta's boring talk show, Up Close and Personal with PZ, got picked up for another season, y'all. Sadly, I'm not surprised. I am, however, curious as to who she did favors for to make this happen...?  I jest, I jest...nope, not really. ;-)

Her first season was a bloated ass-kissing testosterone-fest. She quipped, flirted, and brown-nosed with the likes of, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Akshay Kumar, Yuvraj Singh, SRK, Bobby Deol, SAK, and finally Anil Kapoor.

What's with the estrogen hate, PZ? You afraid that one of them will claw your eye out with a Loub? Nah, they won't do that. Well, at least not on camera. Get the ladies in there for a chat, next time around, K?

Celina expecting twins!

Whew! Finally some other pregnancy news to bite on!

Celina Jaitley, recently announced she and her Duke of Cambridge look-a-like Dubai-based hotelier hubby, Peter Haag, are expecting twins sometime in April 2012! Celina Tweeted a pic from her recent photo shoot, with a caption reading:

"Ps- my 1st shoot with the twins in my tummy lol.. "

Things happen for a reason.........

When we heard the official announcement for YRF's upcoming romantic drama, Ishaqzaade, featuring Arjun "I ? MILFS" Kapoor and Parineeti "Who?" Chopra, we giggled. Chuckled. Laughed. Heck, even guffawed! Now, we hear news that Anushka Sharma was originally considered for the lead role! She even auditioned with Habib Faisal, but things didn't go her way. 

A source at YRF said:

"Anushka had loved the script and was very keen to be part of the film. She auditioned for the role, but came across as a little too loud.

Ishaqzaade is a love story and there were certain specifications the makers were looking for as far as their lead characters go."

A little too loud? Yeah, I could see that. But something tells me, once she saw the film's first look, she quickly dried up those tears! Anushka will be seen next in Ladies Vs. Ricky Bahl, along with Parineeti Chopra, no less. Following that, Anushka will be seen with SRK and Katrina Kaif in Yash Chopra's film, and then with Imran Khan in Vishal Bhardwaj's Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola.

The lean get leaner...

Every now and then, you hear stories in Bollywood that make you think you're hallucinating. Case and point: It seems the directing duo of Abbas-Mustan have asked Deepika Padukone to lose Sid Mallya 4-5 kgs of weight for the their next film, Race 2.

Now, before I go into my rant and call them all kinds of names I won't regret, let me finish...

Abbas-Mustan feel Deepika needs a more leaner structure to do justice to the role they have in mind for her. In other words, Bippity and Boppity want to make sure nothing gets in the way of the T&A that will be on full display when she wears her skimpy outfits. Are they f*cking blind? She's already resembles a light pole, exactly what part needs to be leaner?

Deepika is said to have already started a diet regimen and regular Pilates classes to attain a more lean, toned look. A source close to the film states:

"Race 2 went on floors last week. However major portions of Deepika's scenes have been allotted in the film's second schedule, which will take place next year. In the film, she has to don short, ultra-glam dresses, and so, she needs to lose weight. She has since been regulating her diet."

So the brothers in white think Deepika needs to lose weight. WTF would they have asked Sonakshi Sinha to do, had she not dropped out of the film? Deprive her of sunshine and feed her a diet of crickets? Mmm....all that carb-free, protein goodness!  Considering Dabangg 2 doesn't hit the floors till well into 2012, and Race 2 has already begun shooting, I suspect this was the real reason of her backing out of the film and not that date clashing nonsense she's been spewing. 

As deluded as Abbas and Mustan Ka and Ching! might be, they aren't holding a gun to Deepika's head. Deepika, being the good greedy gal that she is, has conceded to their demands. Deepika's joined the long list of actors AND actresses who are ready to morph into whatever mould that gives them a big fat paycheck at the end of the day. Even if it means risking your health and well-being. Sad.

Upon receiving some initial criticism, Deepika's PR folks have already started the spinning. They're making Deepika sound like a health-conscious gal who's sincerely dedicating herself to the moolah role:

"It is Deepika's decision to lose 4-5 kg. [Yah, and she loves Sid Mallya for his brilliant business mind.] Deepika is very excited to don the ultra glam clothes in Race 2 [like she already does in real life?] and she knows that she needs to tone her body further to meet the requirements of the role."

Mmm hmm, because if she doesn't meet the requirements for the role paycheck, that brand new deluxe apartment in the sky will be repossessed. ;-(
