Producer Khan (Salman Khan Being Human Productions) reportedly flew down from Patiala where he was filming for Bodyguard to attend a special screening that he'd served up for Information & Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni, who took a real shine to the kiddie centric flick. Apparently, he managed to convince Soni that his film was hugely entertaining and also carried a strong moral message.
Courtesy Khan's efforts, the I& B Ministry has issued letters of recommendation to all the Indian states to exempt 'Chillar Party' from entertainment tax.
A delighted Vikas Bahl, the film's co director is quoted to have said, "It is all due to Salman Khan's endeavours and he was very keen to make our film tax free. All of us including Salman are happy with the decision and we are now hoping that the tax free status now comes through for Chillar Party. The tax free status will make the film readily accessible to more people."
