Shah Rukh keen to return to theatre

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who started his career with stage, says he is keen to get back to theatre.

The 45-year-old actor, who has done theatre with Barry John while he was in Delhi during his days of struggle, said that renowned contemporary choreographer Shiamak Daver is keen to cast him in his upcoming stage act ''Here I Am'' in Kingdom of Dreams, an entertainment destination in Gurgaon, near Delhi.

"I have come from theatre background and always wanted to be a stage actor. Now Shiamak Davar who is making ''Here I Am'' for Kingdom of Dreams wants me on stage. I have told him that I charge lot of money for a show," said Shah Rukh.

The actor also announced the launch of two new shows by the ''Kingdom of Dreams'', of which he is the global brand ambassador.

King Khan, who is suffering from a knee injury and is unlikely to perform at IIFA tonight, says he owes his cigarette smoking habbits to theatre.

"For creating smoke effects on stage, we would smoke backstage. This is how I got the habit of smoking," he added.

Davar''s ''Here I am -Shiamak'' will be a vegas styled dance and music show, which promises to bring various genres of dance alive on stage.

"It is a unique theatrical experience with an international format which will be seen for the first time," Davar said.

Viraf Sarkari, director of Wizcraft said ''Kingdom of Dreams'' has been conceptualised to offer live entertainment experience at par with the best around the world.

Priyanka will pay a tribute to singing legend Asha Bhosle at the ongoing IIFA Awards.

Priyanka Chopra will pay a tribute to singing legend Asha Bhosle at the ongoing IIFA Awards in an act choreographed by Shiamak Davar.

"Yes, Priyanka is doing a tribute to Ashaji. Asha Bhosle will receive an award for outstanding contribution to Indian cinema. Shiamak Davar will choreograph the tribute," said Sabbas Joseph, director, Wizcraft, the organisers of the event.

Davar said: "When one does a tribute to a legend like Ashaji one has to be faithful to the original. But I love interpreting songs in my own way as always. I love Ashaji's songs. They're timeless. I've re-developed the whole era with my properties and costumes. I am sure PC [Chopra] will do a good job."

Katrina voted as sexiest women in the world

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif topped the '100 Sexiest Women 2011' list of an entertainment magazine, edging out fellow star Deepika Padukone, who grabbed this title last year.

The list is based on short messaging service (sms) and online voting. The Bollywood actress got a whooping 35,000 votes.

According to the online poll and the sms votes, by the Indian edition of men's magazine FHM declared that the actress's average rating was ahead of the legendary cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar.

This is the third time that she has topped the sexiest woman poll. She won the same title in 2008 and subsequently in 2009.

While growing up, she was very fascinated by this title.

Kaif added that it would be interesting to show the magazine covers to her grandchildren after 50 years.

"Every one knows I have grown up in London, and out there was a very famous kind of you know the '100 most attractive women list'. And it was a lot of fun for me; I would see the people I would really like. So when they launched this in India, I was like that's quite interesting.

"First time I got this title, I was very shocked. Second time I got, I was like it's a lot of fun. And now this year, I think it's been a wonderful shoot. It's always nice, because I would say that when you have grandchildren and you look back over those years, I mean 50 years from now, I could have those magazine covers on a wall and I can say one time I was considered sexy," said Katrina Kaif.

The actress also features on the cover page of the latest edition of the magazine.

She also informed the media that she was never considered attractive. She feels indebted to her audience and fans for supporting her throughout her career.

Katrina seems to be the flavour of the season - she was the only Bollywood actress to feature on a magazine's 'Elite Power' list and is also the most searched Indian celebrity on Google. (ANI)

Ranbir, Katrina in Ayaan Mukherjee's next

He made a definite mark with his debut movie 'Wake Up Sid' and now he is back with another project, again backed up by Karan Johar and starring buddy Ranbir Kapoor.

Ayaan Mukherjee is said to have a road-trip kind of movie on his hand as his next directorial. Buzz is that Ranbir will have Katrina Kaif as his leading lady.

While Ranbir and Katrina's chemistry in 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani' and 'Raajneeti' worked well, the couple also made sensation off screen too. So with Ayaan's new movie, one can surely expect sparks flying between the hot-looking actors.

Coming back to the untitled film, it will be entirely shot in North India, mostly in Delhi. Now this is quite opposite to Johar's tradition to shoot in foreign places like London, UK or USA. All of KJo's projects are taken outside India.

It is said that blockbuster films like 'Tanu Weds Manu' and 'Jab We Met' inspired Ayaan to shoot in our very own desi locale. So sources believe that this is the first time that an entire produced by Karan will be shot in the smaller towns of North India.

Already Ranbir has done a road movie with 'Anjaana Anjaani' while Katrina is part of 'Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara', another movie of similar genre. Let's see what type of journey Ayaan takes the two this time....

Katrina Kaif joins Aamir for Dhoom 3

Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif will now be seen thrilling her audiences in the upcoming Dhoom 3 movie as she is all set to play the female lead in the movie, media reports said.

She was selected over Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone for this character in the third sequel of the highly adrenaline rushing B-town thriller, media reports said.

Produced by Yash Raj films the third edition of the film will feature perfectionist Aamir Khan in a key role.

Bollywood sizzlers like Ashwarya Rai, Esha Deol and Bipasha Basu had earlier played important characters in ?Dhoom? and ?Dhoom 2?.

SRK planning a tour with Kareena and Akon!

Shah Rukh Khan, who is busy completing his upcoming project ?Ra One?, is planning to do a super- budget, mutli-country tour, Zee News reports. He is planning the tour in September along with singing sensation Akon and actress Kareena Kapoor. Akon who has sung the already popular track of the film `Chammak Challo`, could be seen on the tour with King Khan performing while actress Kareena Kapoor will dance on the hit number. SRK is making sure his film gets the desired opening at the Box Office. ?RaOne? is a sci-fi thriller and it is due for a release in October. A source said to a daily, ?The world tour is almost confirmed and the final dates are being worked out. It`s going to be massive and the entire cast including SRK and Kareena Kapoor is expected to perform. The team will perform in the UK and US, and Akon might accompany them there. He`s already been approached for the tour. It depends on SRK`s knee surgery. If he gets operated on by July, then he`ll recover in time for the tour in September.
