B-town Bytes!
obviously intentionally not inviting the mother-daughter duo, since it was known (at that time anyway) that she and Babita didn't get along. With this unexpected family reunion of sorts due to Shammi Kapoor's death, insiders say brothers Rishi and Randhir and sisters in-law Neetu and Babita, have put their past differences aside and have welcomed their visiting relatives to stay in their homes. Both brothers have also taken a major responsibility in arranging the events surrounding the celebration of their Uncle's life.

In keeping with them, Kareena was spotted jet setting to London with her fiance, Saif Ali Khan on the same day her Grand Uncle's funeral was taking place, Aug 15th. It was reported that Kareena didn't attend the funeral, nor did she stay afterwards to help greet friends and family, as she had already paid her respects at Shammi Kapoor's home on August 14th. Hmph! Why let a lil old thing like a funeral get in the way of birthday celebrations, right!? She and SAK made previous arrangements to celebrate his birthday (Aug 16) in London, and the couple was spotted at Mumbai's airport in the wee hours of the morning on Monday. Ironically, they almost ran into Shahid Kapoor who was also spotted at the airport at the same time. Mr. Kareena Kapoor SAK turned 41 yesterday.

Rumors are abuzz suggesting Malaika Arora Khan is preggo with an eggo! Yikes, didja hear that? Arjun Arbaaz just sh*t a brick! Ah, if only this rumor had any merit to it. It all started when MAK pulled out of a scheduled appearance, citing an alleged pregnancy. The event was a stage show performance in the US with Prabhu Deva and others. MAK was said to be a bit apprehensive about the show from the get go. Organizers of the show have told some Indian outlets that MAK pulled out because she is expecting again. When asked about the rumor, MAK's mother, Joyce, laughed it off and said it's not true. MAK, herself, said, "Every couple of years, the media makes me pregnant." So, I guess that's a negatory then...? She obviously doesn't look like she's expecting at all. So, Arjun Arbaaz can relax...

Screen rivals Akhsay Kumar and Ajay Devgn are being talked about for possibly teaming up together for a new flick. Again? Ever since the friends turned adversaries post-Khakhee, rumors of them teaming up for a buddy cop film have been doing the rounds. This time around, Akshay and Ajay are supposed to co-star together in a Desi version of Bad Boys II. Oh kaaay, why wouldn't they just start with the first one? Anyhow, Rohit Shetty is rumored to be directing the project if it gets to see the light of day. A truce between the actors is said to have begun because of Ajay's Hindi version of the Telugu film, Maryada Ramanna, co-starring Sonakshi Sinha. Ajay wanted to name the flick "Son of Sardar," a title which is currently owned by Akshay Kumar.

Kangna Ranaut is said to be pissed off about reports suggesting that Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt had banned the actress from being invited to the Assh*les Rascals launch party. Kangna maintains that she not only had a blast shooting the film, but also says that she and the two actors are still friends. "Everybody is a professional. We were each other's co-stars, cordial with each other, and had fun shooting for the movie," she said. Okie dokie pokie, if you say so! It's not like she would ever admit that they banged her and left her high and dry...

The war of words between Mukesh Bhatt and actress Asin Thottumkal is getting worse. It all began when Mukesh Bhatt spoke ill of Asin to the media, saying something like, "Asin didn't have a future in Bollywood." This, according to the media, was said by him because Asin refused to do a movie of his. Now, Mukesh is saying that rumor was planted by Asin's PR team, as he never offered Asin a role, and doesn't intend to. He insists the actresses chosen for his movies are usually newcomers and not established stars. In the very next sentence, he said just because Asin acted in movies with Aamir and Salman Khan, it doesn't qualify her as a 'star', "She needs to work in films that feature her in author-backed roles, before she can be considered a star," he said. Make up your mind, Dude!
