Madhuri discusses Dedh Ishqiya.

Seeing pics of Madhuri Dixit attending various events back in the Motherland sent the hearts of her fans all aflutter. The real reason for her short visit back to the city is to discuss work. Specifically her role in Vishal Bhardwaj's Ishqiya sequel.

A source with the project told an Indian daily that the film will begin shooting early 2012. Madhuri met with Vishal and director Abhishek Chaubey to clarify some matters involving the script. It's been confirmed that Madhuri will be part of the film, which will have an entirely new plotline from the original film. Arshad Warsi and Naseerudhin Shah will reprise their characters, while the hunt is on for another female lead. Rumors were that the Village Bicycle aka Kangna Ranaut was in talks for the second female part, although that hasn't been confirmed.

One of Madhuri's demands was that her character should be a strong protagonist, like that of Vidya's in the storyline. Looks like all talks went well, since the actress will be heading back to Denver soon!
