Aamir Khan isn't termed as a perfectionist for no reason. Though he chose to stay away from day to day progress of Delhi Belly during it's principal shooting, he put down his foot when it came to days leading to the film going on floors. To ensure that his prime protagonists got everything right around the plot, language, setting and milieu of the film, he designed a 100 hours long crash course.
"It was clear for all; Delhi Belly was going to be a fun film but mainly for the audience. When it came to it's actors, there was a lot of hard work involved as well that included spending 100 hours preparing for the film", informs a source attached to the film.
All of this meant that along with director Abhinay Deo, Aamir worked non-stop with Imran Khan, Vir Das and Kunaal Roy Kapur to get it all perfect for Delhi Belly before the camera started rolling.
"For any film there are readings and workshops that are held. However, Delhi Belly was a different experience for most involved as there was a lot of emphasis on planning and scheduling", says a member from the production team, "It was a 10 days long crash course and all actors along with the producer and the director were holed in a room for 10 hours in one stretch."
Other than the fact that the trio of actors had to get their 'gaalis' right, something which is an integral part of the film, they also had to react naturally to the adult humour. Since nothing like that had been planned before and Delhi Belly also depended a lot on the camaraderie between the trio, Aamir wanted to make sure that there was bonding at the personal level too during this crash course.
Confirms Vir for whom Delhi Belly came as a shot in the arm. "Yes, it was just the five of us for 10 hours a day, 10 days in a row. One of the biggest strengths of Aamir is the way he plans it all. Same was the case here as well. He was sure that he would be there with us during these workshops and after that leave us on our own", he informs.
However, Aamir didn't leave the film before passing on his instructions to the production team. Resultantly, Imran didn't have the luxury of a vanity van all for himself as it was designed for a triple sharing purpose with Vir and Kunal occupying it as well. "I guess this further helped the entire male bonding", smiles Vir.
Aamir stuck to his word as he refrained from stepping on to the film's sets. "All this while it was Abhinay who was running the entire show. It was only when the first cut of the film was ready that we saw Aamir again in the context of Delhi Belly."

Determined to give all the wagging tongues a rest, Ranbir Kapoor is reportedly keeping a safe distance from his Barfee co-star, Ileana D'Cruz at their shoot in Darjeeling. After every shot, he withdraws to his own corner or chats with director Anurag Basu.
According to a close friend, "Ranbir doesn't want to be seen in public with his new co-star Ileana. He knows the rumours about them are waiting to start."

"Whenever they shoot, he makes sure he's at best cordial with her. He won't even sit and make idle talk between shots. But that was what he had decided to do with Nargis Fakhri too, and look what happened.
It really troubles him that he has been linked with his every co-star from Sonam Kapoor in Saawariya to Nargis Fakhri in Rockstar. The reputation of a Casanova no longer amuses RK, " the friend adds.
"I just want to be left alone. I want to focus on my work, " Ranbir told a friend recently. In fact, RK is hoping that his new co-star, the Tamil-Telugu actress has a boyfriend.
He knows that a fresh bout of rumours linking him with Ileana are going to erupt and the only way they can be averted is if the lady in question has a boyfriend.
Says a source, "The only leading lady Ranbir has not been linked with is Konkona Sen and that's because when they worked together she was involved with Ranvir Shorey.
Barfee is a very difficult role for him and the last thing he needs is romantic diversions, imagined or otherwise."
But, there's some good and some bad news for the actor. Ileana is apparently, unattached and single. However, she is never alone and her mother constantly accompanies her.

Shah Rukh Khan has thanked Ra One co-star Kareena Kapoor for "being a sport" on the set of the sci-fi film.
The actress plays Khan's love interest in the film, which claims to be India's first ever super-hero movie.
Khan told followers on Twitter: "Finished the last few bits and pieces of RA.One (sic) with Kareena. Want to thank her for working so hard and fast...she was such a sport.
"Hope we haven't tanned her too much in the hot sun."
Khan described the shoot in Hyderabad as "hectic, hot and hurried" in an earlier message.
The star has said that the film is primarily about fathers and sons, adding that it is entertainment for "all the family".
Khan has confirmed that Ra: One, will be released in India on October 26.
The film will premiere in UK cinemas on October 28.

Ek Tha Tiger, the latest YRF production starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, is all set to take Bollywood to new levels and an entirely new location, becoming the first Bollywood film to be shot in Iraq.
Acquiring permission to shoot was expected to be quite a task, and YRF approached Iraqi
government a month ago for shooting a major action sequence of the film in their country.
The Iraqi government however, besides granting permission, has gone one step further and made arrangements for the security of the crew. The government has also generously made provisions for the transportation of the crew by helicopter between locations.
Salman-KatrinaKabir Khan, the director of Ek Tha Tiger, plans to fly to Iraq today for a week-long expedition to scout possible locations for the film, and will be pinpointing locations for Salman to shoot.
So what is the Dabangg star's take on the stint in Iraq? When consulted by YRF and Kabir before they took the decision to apply for permission, Salman was reportedly thrilled about the rare and exciting opportunity and agreed instantly. He will have to spend a minimum of eight days in the country, and will be accompanying Kabir there in August.
Sadly, Salman will be flying solo to Iraq this time, as ex-girlfriend and co-star Katrina Kaif will not be required for this segment of the film.

Reminiscing his days when he had a fight with his mom he stated ?When I was young, I was very stubborn. I?d never see the other person?s point of view. I?d never saying sorry or apologise to anyone either.?
Hrithik said further, ?I clearly remember once I met Suzanne with a very long face and when she asked me, ?What?s wrong??, I replied that I had an altercation with my mom and I was not too happy about it.?
Suzanne immediately came up with a good idea and told him to hug his mom.
He added ?She told me to go and give my mother a big hug. In my family, we were never used to hugging each other. I don?t know why but it was just something that we never did.?
The star said further, ?But after Suzanne told me to do so I garnered enough courage and went up to the terrace where my mother was sitting. I walked up to her and hugged her tight. I could see tears rolling down her cheeks.?
Hrithik further stated ?It (the hug incident) was the most valuable thing that she taught me in my life. Even now, when we fight and then we decide to end it, it?s just a matter of walking up to each other and giving each other a hug.?

In fact Hrehaan and Hridaan wait for their papa Hrithik to return home and shake-a-leg with them.

News of the pregnancy was revealed by Aishwarya's father-in-law, Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan who posted a message on his Twitter account Tuesday: ?News News News!! I am going to be a Grandfather. Aishwarya Expecting. So Happy and Thrilled.? Bachchan also added on his blog that the pregnancy was ?confirmed by the doctors yesterday (Monday) evening.?
Aishwarya, 37, has often been hailed as ?the most beautiful woman in the world? and after her start in modeling, her acting career has included major Bollywood hits such as 1999's romantic caper Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and 2002's Devdas. Her international credits include 2007's The Last Legion and 2009's The Pink Panther 2.
In 2003, Aishwarya was the first Indian actress to sit on the Cannes jury while she has graced the Croisette over the years with red carpet appearances as brand ambassador for L'Oreal.
