Humbled to have recieved Maharashtrian of the Year Award: Amitabh Bachchan
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is elated to have received the' Maharashtrian of the Year' Award.
"And today among all the thoughts another award - The Maharashtrian of the Year, the 'Maanbindu', for me from the President of India," Bachchan wrote on Twitter.
"Have spent 3/4th of my life, 42 years in my 70, in this city and state...all that I have today has come to me from Mumbai," he said.
While Bachchan was conferred with Lokmat Maanbindu Award yesterday veteran actor Dilip Kumar was honoured with the Lokmat Jeevan Gaurav Award.
Bachchan has earlier said that he wishes to produce quality films in Marathi through his production house AB Corp and has produced the much acclaimed 'Vihir'.
Big B also got emotional as it was his mother Teji Bachchan's death anniversary yesterday. She died of prolonged illness at the of 93, in December 2007.
"I am late but not without cause and reason?I live with my Mother today, her death anniversary... a strong, loving, encouraging Ma. Her spirit of never giving up against all odds, her compassion in times of defeat in us, but her confidence of all being well.. amazing," Bachchan said.
"She lost her own mother when she was a few weeks old, but never failed in giving us what a mother meant. In thoughts with my Mother, in her teachings and love, in her strength of character and compassion, understanding and encouragement," he said.

Katrina Kaif to introduce Bollywood's newest item boy
Actress Katrina Kaif is turning spicier after her back to back stunning item numbers in Bollywood. Katrina's latest 'Chikni Chameli' item song from the movie Agneepath has impressed the people at such an extent that a popular pizza company wants to encash on Katrina Kaif's popularity.

The company will be soon adding a new menu in its list named after Kat's 'Chikni Chameli'. The Chikni Chameli pizza has paneer with some really tangi masalas, greens and lots of yellow toppings. The dish is available for vegetarians and non-vegetarians too.
Mid Day reports that Katrina is believed to have done the food tasting of the pizza and is said to have recommended her crew to check if the pizza has matched up to the style and calibre of 'Chikni Chameli'.
So now when Katrina's jalwa and magic is reachable in pizza stores, are you all ready to order this spicy item?

Yet another item number adds to Katrina?s list!
After ?Sheila Ki Jawani?, it is Chikni Chameli for Katrina Kaif. But this is not it. The actress has yet another item number to her list.
Well, if buzz is to be believed, Katrina will be doing an item number in her forthecoming flick Dhoom 3. Aamir will join her on the dance floor.
A member from the film unit revealed, ?Katrina and Aamir have never worked together before. And since the opportunity has finally been presented, the filmmakers decided to make the most of it. However, Aamir, who doesn?t consider himself much of a dancer, needs some time to prepare himself.
The idea is to be one-up on the moves that Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai shared in Dhoom 2.?
The filmmakers are currently figuring out where to include the item.
YRF spokesperson confirmed the news and said, ?We haven?t finalised a choreographer yet. The first schedule of Dhoom 3 starts in March, in Mumbai.?
