Animated version of ?Andaz Apna Apna?, without the Khans?

The animated version of the 1994 hit comedy movie Andaz Apna Apna is finally happening this year. But the bad news is that, in the cartoon film, the characters Amar and Prem, originally essayed by Aamir Khan and Salman Khan respectively, won?t look anything like them!

iRock the company producing the movie, took this decision to avoid the legal hassles that could occur if they use the faces of Aamir Khan and Salman Khan in the movie.

Says Sid Jain, CEO, iRock, ?It?s true we aren?t making Aamir and Salman the faces of Amar and Prem. We really would?ve liked to since the identification level of the characters with the audience would?ve been substantially enhanced if we had the original faces.

However, our legal department advised us against it. So regrettably we are keeping the spirit of the characters, but not their faces.?

In every other detail, the cartoon version of AAA would be exactly like the original. Says Jain excitedly, ?I?ve waited nine years to do this film. We wanted to make sure everything is just right before we started.?
