Shah Rukh keen to return to theatre

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who started his career with stage, says he is keen to get back to theatre.

The 45-year-old actor, who has done theatre with Barry John while he was in Delhi during his days of struggle, said that renowned contemporary choreographer Shiamak Daver is keen to cast him in his upcoming stage act ''Here I Am'' in Kingdom of Dreams, an entertainment destination in Gurgaon, near Delhi.

"I have come from theatre background and always wanted to be a stage actor. Now Shiamak Davar who is making ''Here I Am'' for Kingdom of Dreams wants me on stage. I have told him that I charge lot of money for a show," said Shah Rukh.

The actor also announced the launch of two new shows by the ''Kingdom of Dreams'', of which he is the global brand ambassador.

King Khan, who is suffering from a knee injury and is unlikely to perform at IIFA tonight, says he owes his cigarette smoking habbits to theatre.

"For creating smoke effects on stage, we would smoke backstage. This is how I got the habit of smoking," he added.

Davar''s ''Here I am -Shiamak'' will be a vegas styled dance and music show, which promises to bring various genres of dance alive on stage.

"It is a unique theatrical experience with an international format which will be seen for the first time," Davar said.

Viraf Sarkari, director of Wizcraft said ''Kingdom of Dreams'' has been conceptualised to offer live entertainment experience at par with the best around the world.
