Katrina Kaif: 'I have nothing to do with Dhoom 3'

Katrina Kaif has responded to ongoing media speculation regarding her reported role in Dhoom 3.

The actress has confirmed that she is not part of the Dhoom franchise and will not be taking on the female lead role alongside Aamir Khan.

Speaking to The Hindustan Times, Kaif said: "I thought Yash Raj had cleared the air on that one by issuing a press release to the effect. I have nothing to do with this film.

"I've just wrapped up one Yash Raj film, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan with Imran [Khan], and have two others lined up. One is with Yash Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan and the other is Ek Tha Tiger with Kabir Khan and Salman Khan.

"Bas [that's it], that's more than enough work for me for this year. Rest is misreporting."

Yash Raj released a statement confirming that the casting of the female role in Dhoom 3 is as yet undecided.

"Katrina is currently preparing for her role in Ek Tha Tiger that goes on the floors soon," the company said.

"We would like to once again reiterate that we are still looking for a fresh face to play the female lead in the much-awaited movie and that, as of now, no-one has been cast."

It was widely reported that Kaif had been considered for the coveted role, but that she was not in agreement with the film's producers about two scenes which required her to wear a bikini.
