Delhi Belly's TV premiere stalled

If Censor Board has its way, Aamir Khan's Delhi Belly might not get a television premiere. Even after making 18 cuts in the film, the Board has not cleared it for a satellite release, reports Mumbai Mirror.

The film that required U/A certificate for its satellite premiere has been
re-dubbed and re-edited to suit the guidelines of TV censorship, according to the daily.

"The last time the film was scrutinized by the board, they were of the opinion that it was not appropriate for family viewing and made roughly 17 to 18 cuts. They had asked the filmmakers to make further changes to the film,? a source told the tabloid.

Not the one to give up, Aamir visited revising committee the other day and the film was screened again.

?He had requested for a U/A certificate, which is required to screen a film on TV, but returned disappointed as it was rejected by the censor board,? the source continued.

When contacted by the tabloid, J P Singh from the censor board confirmed their decision to deny the film a U/A certification.

?On our end, we want to do as much as possible to ensure that the final version of the film suits the Censor Board guidelines as well as please the viewers. We intend to make whatever changes the board has asked us to make,? Aamir's spokesperson told the daily.
